Denise Montell interviewed Jennifer Doudna, a Nobel Laureate, at a UCSB Arts and Lectures event. Dr. Jennifer Doudna earned the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for co-developing CRISPR-Cas9 genome engineering technology.

Congratulations Denise! The award is part of the NIH’s High-Risk, High-Reward Research program, and comes with $5.5 million of funding over five years. Impressively, this is the second time Dr. Montell has earned this award, winning her first in 2014.
