The Montell lab is located in Room 4130 on the 4th floor of the Biological Sciences II building at UC Santa Barbara. UCSB is located a few minutes north of the city of Santa Barbara on the central California coast. With the recently improved Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) just next door to the campus, UCSB is easy to reach by air. UCSB is also only 92 miles north of Los Angeles and easily accessible by car or train. Santa Barbara is known as The American Riviera thanks to its Spanish colonial architecture and heritage, world-renowned food and wine scene, stunning natural beauty nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, and near-perfect weather year round.
