Our Mission

To foster a diverse and inclusive community of scientists uncovering the fundamental mechanisms that control how cells build and maintain normal adult tissues and go awry in diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s, and to harness the knowledge for human health and longevity.

Our Research

Identifying novel cell behaviors, teasing apart their underlying mechanisms, and elucidating their significance using cutting-edge imaging, genetics, optogenetics, mathematical modeling and graphic simulations. Illuminating mechanisms of stem cell longevity, survival of extreme stress, cell cannibalism, and cell movements in development and disease.
